HKS Hipermax 'D coilovers for FC... too hardcore for street?

HKS Hipermax 'D coilovers for FC... too hardcore for street?
I found a good deal for a set of used (13,000 kms, so relatively new I guess) HKS Hipermax D coil overs. I am assuming the "D" is for drift set ups, as i went on the Japanese HKS site and it labels them as "slide control"
i was wondering if anyone has any experience with these coils and how are they for the street? Too stiff? Too harsh?
Any input would be great!
