Has anyone ever seen these wheels?

Just found these at a local gas station (gas stations in Italy carry Momo, Sparco, Sabelt, Martini Racing, etc.). I thought they were pretty sweet, and I have yet to see anyone with them on their car.

What do you think?

BicuspiD 05-08-02 03:09 PM

I still haven't seen them... (no pic)

:D

Johnny 05-08-02 03:52 PM

...yeah I'd like to know what the $%^^#& you are talking about too :)... momo sucks freeze dried ass for wheels.. sparco has a few decent ones...sabelt...harnesses...martini reminds of old school rally or something..

Personally I think USA wheel makers are the best...
Kinesis
Fikse
Forgeline
you get the idea.

Not even a red X!

ianewk 05-09-02 02:08 AM

Sorry...the pics were too big and I thought the post didn't go through.

The wheels are Yokohama...

ianewk 05-09-02 02:09 AM

Get off my batwing...Here's another pic

ianewk 05-09-02 02:11 AM

Last one...

ianewk 05-09-02 03:28 AM

BTW...I wasn't talking exclusively of wheels when I mentioned the other brands. Stop being so critical...damn.

Just wanted to give you and idea of what overall brands a GAS STATION has on hand.

Fill it up please, and can you grab me a couple of Sparco Torinos while your at it.:D

I guess they have to make up for the shitty gas somehow

black99 05-09-02 08:36 AM

Sweet wheel. Never seen them before personally..

Rice Hata 05-09-02 11:52 AM

Wow, those are definitely hot wheels. I love 5 stars in general. How much did you pay for them? Nice pickup...from a gas station even!;)

martini 05-09-02 12:14 PM

I don't like those wheels at all. spokes are too skinny.

but it's cool that you can get that stuff at a gas station.

Icemark 05-09-02 12:17 PM

I agree... spokes too skinny for my tastes

I haven't bought them (yet). I can get 4 17X8 rims for about $840.00.

For now, I'm happy with my SSR Integrals. I just thought they were pretty sweet + I hadn't seen them on anyone's car yet. I might get them, I might not.

They have O.Z.s there for pretty cheap as well, I'm thinking of picking up a set of gold Super Leggeras... something light for autoX.

ARD T2 05-09-02 09:52 PM

Hey what's the street price on some superleggeras. Pick any size you want, FD with 17,8 and 17,9 would be nice in the standard grey color.

I'd like to compare US prices with theirs as I have OZ's for eurostyle on all our company vehicles.

TIA,

Rishie

For that price, that's a nice frikin' wheel.

ianewk 05-10-02 07:08 AM

I went back today and it seems that they have to call O.Z. direct for an FD. Their catalog only has Euro spec cars in it...all the Mazda wheels they listed were four-lug. He said he'd have an answer for me by Tuesday. I'll post what I find.

RotaryWeaponSE7EN 05-10-02 10:28 AM

Those are some tight wheels

Rx-7Addict 05-11-02 12:31 AM

i think im in love....

I love the thin 5-spoke look of wheels such as the 360 modena wheels

Love those wheels.. more info please!

cabaynes 05-11-02 11:18 AM

i like em:bigthumb:

heres a quick chop with those rims on a silver FD... dont bust my skills, i only took about 3 minutes ;) lol...

ianewk 05-11-02 01:46 PM

Nice pic...I wouldn't bust on your skills because that's alot better than I could do.

Seeing them on an FD makes me want the damn things...thanks alot.

I think I'll stick with my SSR Integrals though so I can keep a 9.5 on the rear.

Mo' traction...mo betta.

JoeD 05-11-02 10:07 PM

the spokes are waaaay too skinny. the wheel looks like it has no balls.
