so i finally settled on a set of wheels that i want to get and are in my price range. im getting some 17 inch 5Zigen FN01R-C's. i know i want 17's and wide rim prob 10 in the back and i need help deciding if i should stagger for the front and i need help with offset.
i really like the look of a lower offset such as some of the pictures i will post bellow. anyone can throw there 2 cents in and i know im prob gonna get flamed for not searching but whatever lol. any help of input is appreciated.

i would really like to get the concave all around like the fd in the first picture has. if anyone knows what offset, wheel sizes and if he had to do to make them fit please let me know. i would greatly appreciate it.

The offset does not determine the concave part for this particular rim. The width
does. You need at least 9.5" rim for the concave look. So if you want concave all around in 17's, you'll have to fit 17x10 all around.

hmm interesting. that doesnt seem like it would do to well performance wise. it would just be for looks then. maybe i should think about staggering them

if i went with 18's whats are the offset numbers for them to get that concave look?

Once again, offset does not effect the concave look for these wheels. The width does. You need 9.5" in 18's for the concave look but it will not be as concave as the 17x10.

Those wide wheels look sick!

i would need to decide what to do with the fenders then. anyone know a good set of widebody fenders for the front? maybe even the back

17x10 +35mm offset with a 235/40/18 tire. Gangster fitment.

karl0003 10-03-08 05:11 PM

do you have any pictures of that fitment?

Look up Dregg's car.

17x10 with a 235/45/17 tire (caught my typo above).........

good offset for an fd???

ok so i found someone on the forum selling 2 wheels (FN01R-C's) i would use for the front of my car. there 17x9 +15 offset. is this a good offset to use for an fd? i will be running 17x10 +25 or +35's in the back. Thanks for the help

No, those offsets are way too low unless you have widebody fenders. Good offset range for 17x9 up front is +43 to +50. Your rear offsets are also too low with stock fenders. You will want to be +40 to +50 to maintain fender lip clearance with 275 tires.

EDIT: Ugh, why did you start a new thread on the same topic? Merged threads....
