Full Polished CCW Classics and Recaro's added

Since CCW is just down the road from me, and I have a friend that works there I decided to head over there one day and check out some wheels. Dan actually built a couple different wheels to try and get the sizes and offsets just right. Dismounted my tire to assure proper fitment. Ended up with full polished, fully swissed classics in 18x10 F and 18x11 R. F offset is 50, never got a number on the Rears. Running 285/35 and 265/35 and it rides great and really handles well. Also added Recaro Pole Position SPG seats, and NRG Harness bar.

Nice setup, btw who did that custom ls1 gauge panel face for u?

LS1Pariah 02-16-12 11:52 AM

The guy I bought the car from had already done all the swap work. The gauge cluster was necessary because the car also uses the GM traction control, ABS, keyless entry, and alarm, and also fuel tank and evap system. Some of those systems go through the cluster.

Good looking wheels. Looks strange to see an FBody cluster in an FD.

Strange is being nice:naughty:

This is probably one of the cleanest fd I've seen. Very nice setup. I might have to get some ccw classics.

Winning

Can you get in touch with them and find out the rear offset? I'm assuming you have coilovers and aftermarket trailing arms?

Flyweight 02-18-12 04:11 PM

I too am interested in the offset in the rear. How is the rear fitment? Rubbing? Rolled or cut fenders?

Car looks great!

Yeah I messaged Dan on Facebook the other day, hoping to get an answer this week. Stock trailing arms by the way. Fenders are rolled. My car is a little off somehow, the alignment settings are correct but for some reason my drivers rear sticks out more than the passenger side, so I'm getting some slight rubbing under compression, but I just grabbed my buddies roller today, so I'll just massage it some more and make it work.

Do you have any pictures of under the car. I'm interested in how that dual exhaust was run., and the wheels as well.

The wheels look great on the car. Definitely a nice choice.

These are all I have at the moment. This was before adding the rear mufflers. It's actually an SLP loudmouth cat-back system from an Fbody, modified a little bit. It goes into a single 3" resonator, then splits again into dual 2.5's to attach to the headers. The Fbody fuel tank made this possible.

Dan at CCW said just give him a call and order a set and he'll give you the offset for the rears.

I like the rear wing being color matched. What steering wheel is that? What hub did you have to use with it?

JantzenRX-8 02-23-12 10:24 PM

Want those wheels! Good looking 7

LS1Pariah 02-24-12 10:19 AM

NRG suede 3" dish wheel and NRG quick release hub. Chris at Carisma designed a trick little way to make the horn work.

DriftDreamzSS 02-24-12 11:31 AM

What did you use to mount the pole positions, any trimming? How high do they sit, do you have any pictures showing how close the top of the seats are to the headliner?

Exidous 02-24-12 09:43 PM

I must say I am a little disappointed with CCW's fitment numbers for the 18x10's in the rear. Front is dead on. I got the 18x10 sp500's with +50.5 all round and the back just plain old sits in too far. Even with a 5mm spacer. :-( I have coilovers and aftermarket trailing arms and could easily fit 18x11 had the offset been more precise.

Also those rears are probably around +40 being that they are 18x11 and stock trailing arms and needing a little pulling on the fenders.

They are static mounted, no rails. I wanted maximum clearance.
Hard to see in pics because everything is black, at the closest point, on the very side on the top of the seat near the window I have about 1.5" of clearance, on the top of the seat to the roof it's about 3"
Plenty of room.

I was too, they really looked sunk in. The 11's look so much better.

Never knew CCW was in Orlando and I lived there for 6 years, lol. Might have to take a trip down there when I get my seven running to get the exact wheel fitment I want.

Awesome looking car!

willtet 02-27-12 06:26 PM

kax 02-28-12 12:56 PM
