Front 18x8.5 +38, Rear 18x9.5 +38?

Folks,

Quick question. Checking the Sticky worksheet these should work with the following clearances - no pulling, rolling or rubbing correct?

Front x2 wheels 18x8.5 +38 offsets.
Rear x2 wheels 18x9.5 +38 offsets.

I only ask because I saw a prior post tagged as not workable with only a small diff in offsets (i think offsets where +35 all around on that one even though the spreadsheet says OK on those too).

Just a quick confirmation would help me a lot, thanks. (no more than 1" lowering in my future- Konis/H-techs)

I think you'd be OK, might want to run some negative camber, like -1.25° front and rear up to -2°

Zdan,

Appreciated... but negative camber still needed without a significant drop? Seems like all should clear based on inside and outside clearances no? I am going to be running Konis+Htechs. < 1 inch drop from stock (or as much as I can get away with).

Thanks Again.

What do you have against camber? -1.25° to -2° is perfectly reasonable even for a street-only car, will give much more lateral acceleration vs. near-0°. Keep toe minimized and tire wear rate is barely affected. I've gotten 18k miles out of 200TW Extreme Perf tires on my S2000 at about those exact settings.

Want to run wider wheels and tires shoved 1/2" further outboard vs. stock, but then don't wanna run *any* camber at all? C'mon, a fair amount of camber beyond "normal" settings is not a problem and is better for ultimate grip and handling

Not worried about a little camber. Just don’t want to take a beautiful fd and screw it up with too much camber. Trying to mod it cleanly. I’ve Seen some extreme examples that sucked. But I hear you on the approach. Thanks for your guidance. Truly appreciated.

Exact spec as on the wheels I have on the way. I will not be rolling my fenders and I do not expect any rubbing at all with 225/40 and 255/35 tires once it's mildly lowered.

Interested in the wheels you have on the way. I am now looking at 18x9 +45 in front and 18x9.5 +35 rear. Fronts should be fine but rear might need some work is what I’m hearing. Still fits the guide sheet but barely so I might have to do some work.

ive got +38 rears... 18x9.5
lowered on coilovers.. and she is barely clearing the lip with 265s...
you may be able to get away with +35 if you run 255s...

bring her down here if you need use of a fender roller...

We will have to see I guess. Where are you located?
