First Rim purchase... Need help on offsets.

One of my close friends offered me an insane deal on his rims. There 5-zigen pro racer GN's powder coated. The sizes are 17 x 8.5 +10 front and 17 x 9.5 + 22 in the rear. He says they work on Fc's but will they fit the FD. I've searched about offsets but I'm still weary as I always hear of way bigger numbers on the FD.

I thought you were going to sell your car ;)

Yes, they will fit: depending on fender modification (maybe a mild roll), alignment settings and tire size.

Camber + skinny tire + suspension + fender roll and they will fit.

I was man, but then I realized just how shitty of a mood I'd be in all the time coming home and not seeing it in the driveway. :) + all the labor and 52k original miles... I just can't.

I'll find you a top gear quote that states it perfectly, why I don't like new cars.

I don't they would fit. You might be able to bolt them onto the car but in real world driving they would probably rub and eventually screw up your fenders and paint.

Well I'am lowered as well but if I roll my fenders I should have no problem right?

Here's a 17x9 +17 (not my car, this is from an old thread):

Not what I would call "good fitment"....

I do agree though, how ever I use the car for street use so poking isn't really a problem.

The tire sizes are 225/45/17 up front and 255/45/17 in the rear and the front is +12 not plus 10 even though I'm sure that doesn't make a difference.

Well, ultimately, it's your car. I don't think those wheels "fit" a stock bodied FD. However, my definition of "fit" may be different than yours.

As far as the rears go will they have to be rolled? I don't mind :)

Only thing I'm worried about is inner wheel rub with the inner wheel wells. I have super angle tie rods and the wheel cut is pretty steep.

You'll definitely need to roll the fenders, if not give them a little pull. Most of that will depend on how much camber you can dial in and how skinny of a tire you use to "make it fit".
