Is the FDs wheel size/offset similar to any other car?
 

Im trying to find out which ( if any) other car aftermarket FD wheels would be able to fit on. I know our high offset is a bit uncommon, and I have my set of almost brand new SSR GT2s in 18x9.5 +50 that Im looking to sell, and Im wondering if there is any other car forums I could post on. Tires are 265/35r18 on all four. Thanks for any help.

Supra, 300Z, Mitsu 3000GT. I'm pretty sure all the Japanese rear wheel drive cars use 5x114 lug pattern

I know these cars all have the same lug pattern, but thats not what Im asking. Our offset is +50, which I believe is a bit high compared to alot of cars. Just looking if anyone knows for sure if any other car would be able to run wider wheels with this offset.

Hmm... thats a tough one. Pretty much all cars that are popular right now with the younger crowd use lower offsets. Bolt pattern isnt a problem because most japanese cars use the same as the FDs. Spacers would be the only other option for mounting these wheels on other cars and alot of people hate spacers. If I think of any cars with similar offsets, I'll be sure to let you know.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but our offset is not just +50. It changes to adjust to different wheels widths. For example, I'm running 18x9's all around, and my offset is +40 on my wheels.

I'm pretty sure the wheels will work on any of the cars I mentioned, especially the Supra

Yes, your wheels have the offset. Offset on stock 16x8 FD wheels is +50. Offset on my SSR in 18x9.5 is also +50. Offset basically is the relationship of the wheel to the hub.

Stock FD offset is +50. Rxmfn7's wheels are +50 because thats the correct offset his wheels need to be in order to fit well on the FD. Rxmfn7 is trying to find another car that has a wheel offset of +50 or atleast very closet to it in order to post the wheels for sale in that other cars forum.

They will work on supra or most rwd lexus but will be sunk. That offset is high even for fd. But I would think you would have the best luck on a soarer/sc300 forum, they seem to not care much if their wheels fit flush.

I think I found a match for you. Try the s2000 forums. If I'm not mistaken, the offset on those cars is also +50.

The new Mazda Miata (2006 and later) can interchange wheels with the FD. This would probably suggest that the RX-8 can also.

i dont think the front wheels of an s2000 will do you any good.....a few lude owners on preludepower had try to find 4 front s2000 rims before cause the back is different....

I've seen 4th gen nissan maximas running stock FD wheels.

2005+ Mustang's have the same bolt pattern and the offset is either 45mm or 50mm, I forget. I think the FD hub bore is a bit smaller than on the mustang, but since you are selling aftermarket wheels they should fit fine.

I just sold a set of stock FD wheels to a guy who drag races his 350Z. :dunno:

I've seen Ford Probe owners running FD rims. Don't know wether GT model makes a diff or not, I would assume all Probes have same patterns, offset, etc. The 95+ PGT rims look pretty good IMO (at least on a Probe for sure)

Subaru's use an offset of +55 , but I'm not sure if the bolt pattern is the same.
