im ready for a slating here but thought some may like to see my new alloys. only tested one rear today as it started raining hard .( suprise suprise for uk that lol!!! )

with hub adaptors the rear are 19x11 with ffective offset et 31.

excuse my terrible photoshop but wantd to see what its like lowered with no spoiler lol

ha ha fair enough. i just wanted to try something different instead of being a sheep following everyone elses ideas. the wheels are off my friends 997. he said i could have em so thought... why not

Not for me I dont think, 99% of people would just think they some cheap looking aftermarket wheels.
If it was the 993/996 turbo traditional 5 spokes its different.

I don't like them either but its your car. The probably won't fit either with a 31 offset.

They almost look like they will slide right over the stock wheels :)

hey cheers. do you think i need to lower offset to 26? do you think i`ll rub coil overs. i`ve only got them if i want them so if they wont fit its no biggy.. i personnally like em but hey..

one reason (appart from being given them) i avoided the older style alloys is exactly that, everyone would just say they are off a porsche.. i like the machined finish of these. and they could just be from a wheel manufacturer

In the past, when people tried to fit 10" and 11" wide wheels, they used a 50 offset. So going from a 31 to 26 offset is going in the wrong direction. :)

Search on past threads of people trying to fit 19" wheels. Better yet, search for people trying to fit 18 x 10 and 18 x 11.

Personally, I think you'd be better off selling them and getting something that fits but its your time, money and car so have fun.

I think in terms of backspacing for FD With aftermarket trailing arms in the rear an 11" Wheel would require at a MAXIMUM: +35 to +40 offset.

In terms of Front spacing with fenders rolled I think you max out at a 10" +38 which is like 11" +50 and this would not work on the rear suspension.

so what this means is your wheel will stick out of the fender almost an inch based on these cals. Is that correct by what you see?

i used kens rx7 from shine for wheel offset etc of hub addaptors. his are 19x11 with et 21 rear with heavy flair.. i was hoping for less flair with higher et but if you think its not possible then i`ll pass.

What's the minimum thickness required for your adapter spacer? 25mm?

What's the offset on those wheels? It sounds to me you're ok.

As for tire sizes however, hmmm I'd probably run something like a 255/35/19. Might be an expensive tire but will look real good stretched on that 11". Problem with 19's on the FD is finding the right tire diameter. To accomplish what you want a slightly taller tire will be needed. Can't do much with a 30 series for stretching.

Isn't the Porsche bolt pattern completely different anyway?

They are different, porsche is 5 x 130 my guess is he is using an adapter that converts from 5 x 130 to 5 x 114.3.

as purerx7 says. i`ve found two types of hub adaptor i can use. H&R do one type. 20mm and 25mm( bolt the adaptor to car hub and it has threads to push alloys onto then use bolts supplied ) and found another company that do the second design from 26mm upto 35mm ( this is bolted to the car hub and second set of bolts screw into the threads in the adaptors.)

im guessing they do that with the thicker adaptors as there is more metal to screw to?!?

i appreciate hub adaptors are not the way forward but i just wanted to try something new. im not likely to drag strip it or track with them on. i`ll be keeping my 99spec alloys for that stuff.


but now seeing the new rays im thinking just get them instead. they are lush.. although they do remind me of the uk 6series bmw alloys

the alloys as they stand are 51et....

spacer options for rear are 20, 25, 30 or 35

im either going to use panspeed fender extensions (add about 22mm . similar to feed) or just go for a big flare.. i`ve got coil overs for extra inside clearance
