FD wheel size
I always thought as a rule of thumb, for the 1/4 mile 18's arent' such a good idea but i've been seeing some nice numbers out of 18's from some of you. Is the difference between 17-18 and your E.T. that much. I was Considering going 18's just gathering info, thanks.. I know I can search (which I have), But i want some "fresh" info..heheh thanks a lot in advance. :D

The weight of the wheel will affect the times more than the size. The faster cars her usually run stock wheels in the rear with Drag Radials.

Taller sidewalls helps you get a good launch, so smaller wheels (16 or 17) would be better than 18s. I think you see some fast times with 18s because people who dump money into the car tend to install bigger wheels as well. Slicks or drag radials on the stock wheels would likely be faster, though. Perhaps some of the fast times are from people who have 18" street wheels but install stock wheels with drag tires on the back for the drag runs. You certainly see that a lot at the strip.
