FD wheel fitment +35 offset
 

hi guys, i already searched and went over the FD fitment thread but hope you guys dont mind if i confirm this.. going for a semi-conservative set up..

18x8+35 F 245/35
18x9+35 R 265/35

this should clear no probs on stock body FD right? from my calculations i could possibly run 15mm spacer if needed to bring them out just a tad to match tire racks suggested offsets..

18x8.5+32, 18x9.5+32 if i'm not mistaken.

I'm no FD wheel expert, so I don't know for sure if they'll fit or not, but the stock offset is 50, those are already 15mm further out, so adding a 15mm spacer will only make matters worse. I think the offsets are probably too low, you need to try to get offsets closer to 50mm.

Those should fit fine.

should be fine, but you may need to roll the fender a little bit, I have +38 all around and have no rubbing or any problems.

Eh, they'll fit but it's certainly not ideal. And a spacer LOWERS the offset, not raises it!

Running a 245/35 18 on a 8" wide wheel is not recommended. You are going to have to run a 225/40 or 235/40.

tks for the replies guys! i knew the front may have been little too wide but my second choice in line was 235/40 that is widely available.. so probably this is what i'm going to end up with.. and 265 in the rears.. i hope it all fits nicely.. so with the specs of the wheel i listed, you guys would not consider this conservative?

btw i made an error when checking with tire rack.. their suggestion is
18x8.5+38 235/40
18x9.5+38 265/35

so i'm hoping its all going to work out perfect!!! i'll run that 235 on an 8 with a tad lower offset.. but should come out the same with a little smaller wheel and same applies for the rear.. if you guys look at my first post i had my specs wrong from the tirerack so thats why i mentioned 15 spacer that i may need.. but definitely wont be needed now that i cross checked again! will post pics as soon as these babies are on, you guys are goona like it! thats a promise!!!! stay tuned!!!

That's a +43 with a 255 tire. Definitely had to roll the fenders. With +38 in front, you will have to roll the fenders and I hope you have some coilovers. The rear will be fine.

^ not true, i have +38 with stock suspension, havent rolled the fenders and I have had 0 problems.

What tire size? I would be curious if it was larger than a 235.

Stock suspension might be one thing, but who wants that?

One a lowered car, you'll NEED rolled fenders... I don't give a hang what anybody says. If you drive the car in anything but in a straight line or go over any bumps with the wheels turned, it'll catch the lips. Trust me.

I've run all of these combos, and they ALL rub or have the potential to catch SOMEPLACE. FD fenderwells are just small, and the car was designed for higher offsets. I'd consider "conservative" to start at +45.

235/45/17 on 17x8 +38
235/45/17 on 17x8.5 +37.5
255/40/17 on 17x9 +45
275/40/17 on 17x9.5 +42
235/40/18 on 18x8.5 +40

Those offsets aren't what Tire Rack suggests or recommends. Those offsets fit within their allowable range on the stock suspension. Ideal offset would be +50.

With those wheels above, I would run 245/35 up front (8.5" wide wheel). Like Ptrhahn and Mahjik say, you should roll the front fenders.

tks for the info guys.. worst case scenario i'll roll the front fenders but i think it will all work out ok.. btw, those specs above is what i go from tire rack for a BBS wheel for 93 mazda rx-7.. yes they may not be perfect but usually from what i've seen from them as far as suggested specs, wheels/tires fit well without any extensive mods if any on some cars..

tires are a 245

a 18x9 +20-+25 u can fit a 255 tire on there
we just did a 17x9 +17 with 225s on omochis car and looks the tits

he had a 17x9 +45 with a 245 tire and he wants a 20mm spacer
and if u want wider tires roll the fender, not a big deal man

the fd wheel fitment guide says they will fit fine. a 9" wheel on the rear can go as low as +31 offset. atleast thats what the guide said.

Good luck if you ever lower the car. You'll definitely need the fenders rolled.

With a 9" wheel with +43, I was eating the fender running a 255 up front. You can make larger tires work up front (or in the rear), but it takes some effort.

yah my car is stock suspension, if it was lowered i would have some serious rubbing problems, thats why im getting some new advans.

Fender rolling is a must and it also depends on your suspension setup. You'll see his car is higher than mine. Here's mine 17x9 +43 with 255's:

i know this is a little off topic, but i am intrested in this thread because i follow the fd wheel fitment sticky and it seems to be off a bit. i just bought a 18x9 +33 wheel for the rear with a 255 tire. i am worried about rubbing. the fd wheel thread said i was good till +31 offset.
