FD max tire size quastion.
 

have any one used 255/50/16's on a stock FD 8" rim?
is yes any side effects?

I use 265/45/16's on the stock FD rims for Autox. The only problem I have is slight rubbing due to lowering of the car with Eibach springs. A slight roll of the fender solved that problem.

You will have a slight variance with the speedo.

It should work fine in the rear but that's a pretty tall tire. If you're a boosted rotary then it will hurt your throttle response/low speed acceleration since exhaust pressure won't build as quickly. But if you have Big single turbo it will help cause you can stay in gear longer and really maximize your boost pressure.
