FC3S - Stance GR +Pro Coilovers
I've asked several people who own these on how they ride, feel and they are worth the money. Atleast 90% of them say it's definetely worth it. No problems have been detected or anything of that nature.
The only questions I really never asked is... for a Direct Swap from stock to Stance GR +Pro coilovers. Is there anything else I would need? I notice they already come with the pillowball upper mounts and they are adjustable. Before I buy, I just want to make sure (aside from bushlings) if there is anything else I should look into - since im not very savvy in suspension. Much appreciated! Oh and make sure your wheel setup won't hit the coilovers up front.

I have stances... they're pretty rad. I've been running them for a couple of seasons, and have hit curbs, apex curbs, hopped stuff, hit potholes, and generally drive with no regard for keeping the coilovers safe, and they're still good. Put about 20,000 miles on em by now, I think, and they're still just as good as when I bought em.

You don't really need aftermarket alignment parts for lowering an FC.
Attachment 720503 At this height, or even close to 1" lower than this, you can still get factory toe settings with about -3 degrees camber all around. I'm close to an inch lower than the red car, and still am able to get good alignment settings with no aftermarket arms. If you want some fancy alignment settings to your spec and such, I guess get the arms and adjusters, but you don't have to. |
On a street car the AWR links can get you back to about 1.5 degree negative in the back at something like the height of the car above. Don't bother with the single arm link because it screws up your pinion angle (assuming you're making enough power to care).

The reason i recommended the camber adjusters is because the rear lower bracket can get pretty close to the "spindle" with that much camber from my experience.

Fo sho... the FC camber/toe curves just generally get annihilated at ride heights like these, from what I can gather. The cure is springs so stiff the suspension doesn't move anyway, haha.

if you're that low you need some stiff ass springs.. theres only so much room for tire up in there.
and 3 degrees is way too much camber in back. unless you like drifitng and hate your tires. |
would I need RCA (roll camber adjusters) if I want to go that low??

roll center correction would be lovely, but it doesnt exist for FC's.

Nope, so we have to deal with increased roll moments :(
I've had these same coils for more than 2 years, daily driven to work, and abused at the track and auto-x. Only thing that's worn out are the boots. |
well in that case I will still be fine without them or they dont make way too big of a change? or is there a way to bypass that?
