i would say no... once i had my rear struts replaced at pepboys because i didnt have my tools with me to do the job, when i left i noticed that whenever i went over a bump on the passangerside i would hear a loud thump. whe i took the speaker out i found that the strut looked just like that but not as extreme.

when i latter changed out the springs i noticed they had left a piece out when they put that side back together.

Something is not right, I can't exactly tell what it is but I don't think you should have that much rod sticking out the top of the upper perch.

If those are KYB AGX shocks they will not like the high spring rate. I had them on the race car and could overheat them in just a few laps with 450lb springs in the front. They are just fancy replacement stock shocks.

Don't you need to raise the car to get that tire/wheel combo under it? JK

LOL, these are KG/MM brand springs (yes thats the company name) and they have a spring rate of about 335 lb/in and I will be doing some mild Auto-x this year.

Should i use a spacer for the top part of the rod? These springs are about 300% stiffer than stock. I would assume that it would only compress about 1/2" when i lower the car so wouldnt that work?

Okay I have solved the problem, the AGX's return back to top position so I can't keep them compressed, anybody for a little drop?

Those spring rates should be fine. I ran the AGX's with 400/275# spring rates and they performed great. I was told by K2RD that over 400#'s and I would need to go with Koni's.

That would be a great setup.

Yup, and thats how much shock travel you lose with a lowered setup.....get some bumpstops on ther else you will trash the internals if/when you bottom out. IMO 335# is not enough spring rate to keep from bottomoing on big bumps, so watch out for the big ones

The fronts don't even seem to drop that much, i may see if I can find a better rear spring setup.

OH, is there any way to find a rubber pad that would act like a 'shelf' for the lower spring mount, so that i regain some of my ride height?
