i researched and came up with this
front 17x9 +40 offset
rear 17x9.5 +38 offset

is this good for my fd?
do i have to roll up the fenders?
will these rims clear my stock oem brakes?WITHOUT any SPACERS

I don't think clearing your brakes is the issue, I think the strut/suspension is most likely to be affected by wheel offset. From my research the backs will fit fine however for the front you will want to go with 8.5 inch wheel with an offset somewhere between 35-40.

You will have no problems at all with stock brakes. The calipers barely stick past the rotor hat, if at all.

17x9 +45 and 9.5 +38 is a great FD fitment. you can run 255/40 and 275/40 if you want.

I'm running some deals right now.

no need to roll fenders. this is one of the most common fitments of rpf1 on the FD for great performance at a great price and lightweight.

I am running a 18x9.5" +45MM front with 18x10" +38mm rear with the enkei RPF1. I am running 265/35/18 tires on all four corners. I rolled the front fenders. if I were you...I would run the 17x9 +45MM...probably a 255/40/17 tire width for the front....the back you have room for whatever.

1993 FD.

Hope this helps you out.

17x9.5 + 38 275/40 tire

Nitto NT555's.

Clears the brakes no problem. You wont have rubbing. My rear passenger rubs on hard acceleration and deep dips but thats because of bad suspension i have.

Im actually selling this set of wheels if you're interested. Total set has less than 10k miles. I would say close to 9k?? I have to check my notebook.

Wheels in immaculate condition since the FD is a weekend car. Always cleaned and tires always had tire shine on it lol

EDIT: nevermind just saw you're from toronto. I wont ever ship to canada anymore. Sorry.

Looking to buy a set also. 17x9 +35 all round. Looking at the FD sizing chart, I know the rears will be ok. Would this be a problem for the fronts with +35 offset? Pretty sure its ok but wanted to make sure before I make the purchase.

SpooledFD3S 01-24-13 05:13 PM

i have 17x9+45 with 245/40 tires all around and the front could definitely be spaced out 10mm no problem on stock fenders.

Dvst8 01-26-13 11:38 AM

cool thx!

That's a very mild setup in my opinion. I'd go with a 9.5 +38 all around and just do a mild roll up front. Even then, the rear still looks sunken in.

rx7/24/7 05-24-13 04:26 PM

Yeah i was looking around and was thinking 17x9 +35 is probably what i am gonna go with

9" and 45mm front with 255/40 tires, 9.5" and 38mm out back on 275's. Ideal fitment imo if you still plan to run a streetable suspension and not rub.

Fenders were rolled but definitely didn't need to be with the 9" +45

I would try to stick with a square setup so you can rotate the tires. 9.5 +38 would be a nice setup all around IMO

255s are perfect for 9.5 but run 10s if 275s.

rx7/24/7 05-31-13 12:47 AM

I decided to go 17x9 +45 because i wanted them in gold and they only go as low as +45

anees 06-28-13 02:01 PM

still looking for these in 17x10 sbc
pm me if any one has em

technomentor 07-04-13 10:03 PM

17x9.0J + 45 silver
255/40-17 Falken Azenis
2 tires are no good
2 are worth keeping
Not exactly what you were looking for, but provides same size on all 4 corners, fits stock suspension.

anees 07-05-13 10:22 AM

Can u post some pics

Natey 07-05-13 10:35 AM

17x 8 and 9, +35. Came off my old FC and didn't look too bad on the FD. No rolling, pulling or tire eating camber.

EDIT: Tires are 235 and 245/40 BFG KDW.
