Energy bushing VS Prothane bushing
 

Which bushing kit is better energy or prothane?? In other words which one is more complete and perform better. I reason i asked is because prothane bushing kit is 70 on nopi. So yeah any opinion is welcome.

The Energy kit comes with more stuff like new bolts.

What car is this for...Im just asking cause i was told there is no bushing kits you can buy for the FD?! Looks like im gonna have to do more research if this for the FD

Ummmm a little jumpy guys?? It obvious I already knew that Jimlab was the only one that makes the bushing for the FD! As we all know new products do come out, thats why I asked incase these were now being made for the FD. Take it easy.......and take into consideration why i asked the Questions that I did!

Actually there are 8-10 different bushing sets made in Japan for the FD3S, but all of them are more expensive than Jimlabs, and most, to an extent, are lesser performing...

Something I have to wonder is why Energy Suspension hasn't made a kit for FD's yet, I mean almost every single FD out there is in need of replacement bushings due to the mileage most of these cars have racked up so far, we're going on more than 10 years that the cars have been out.

When I contacted Energy Suspension last year, they said there was not enough interest - the only way to get them to do it was to run something like 7500 sets - setup costs would be tremendous, and with the limited number fo cars having been imported, it doesnt make financial sense..

are there a write up for install there bushing?
i open the box and see alot in there.
i just don't know where to start

I've explained this several times, but once more probably won't hurt... here's the short version.

They polyurethane bushings made by companies like Prothane and Energy Suspension require VERY expensive molds. There weren't enough FDs produced to make it cost effective for anyone to produce a polyurethane bushing kit, and there sure aren't enough left now. If they did produce a kit, in order to recoup their costs, the kit price would have to be so high that no one would buy it.

If someone wants to step up and buy the (mandatory) initial 10,000 sets, i'm sure theyd do a run.....

But then Jim might have to go after them for making replicas of the real thing

Noone could duplicate your product though Jim - even if a lower cost was an option, the support and info youve given the club, to me, at least, secures you as the author and provider. Keeping in mind that you dont make ~ SQUAT~ for the most part, I salute you..

Did I mention I hate replicas? =)
