i been trying to get a center cap for my ccw wheels and i think ccw sent me the wrong one. i called them about it and they said its the right one they sent me. the center cap they sent me doesnt sit flush with the tapered part of the backside of the wheel. because isnt it suppose to serve as a hubcentric piece also??

So your saying that thing is suppose to make the wheel John made hub centric? Never heard of that on CCW's... I'm suprised he didn't make them that way, unless you bought them used

John's modular (3 piece) street wheels utilize the center caps to make them hub centric. Track wheels utilize the wheel center. I have no idea why he does this, but that's the case.

Is the wheel bore clean? Is the rear surface of the cap in the same plane as the wheel pad? It looks like it is pretty close (actually it looks just right, but it's hard to tell from the pics) but that there is a chamfer on the back of the wheel bore that makes it look less close.

Does the cap fit on the hub snugly? If it doesn't fit the hub, that would be pretty clear that it isn't the right cap.
