brakes

i was wondering what most of you guys are running for brake setups. obveously stainless lines and fluid, but what pads are you running? is it necessary to go to larger rotors or are stock sized slotted rotors good enough. My car is a 93 r1. sI am currently running stock wheels, but will eventually change out to 17's. It is mostly a street car, but does see road course fairly often. thanks for your help.

My recommendation for the FD:

Street: Carbotech Bobcats, Bonez Stage I, Axxis Metal Masters pads
Track: N-Tech Lapping Day or Competition pads

You will know when it is time for larger brakes. You will be killing rotors often, and braking performance will be inconsistent on track.

Endless SS-S Pads
Teflon Sheathed SS Brake Lines
OE Two piece rotors, slotted.
Motul RBF600

That's it for me.

I have a brake package we're doing for FD guys right now until our Endless brake pad supplies run out.

It's Pads, lines, and 2 bottles of Motul RBF600 Fluid for $430.00 shipped. That's a good 25% average savings on this.

Oh you can also add slotted rotors if you like for another:

$370.00 shipped.

Total: $800.00 shipped out of california state in continental US. lolz.

FOR ALL INTENSTIVE PURPOSES THIS IS WHAT ANY NORMAL ENTHUSIAST WOULD NEED. You will be plenty happy. If you are a "track freak" it might be worth spending a FEW GRAND on an upgraded brake system. Otherwise i think the stuff above does the job just dandy.

best bang for the buck for fluid Ford HD fluid.

Ford Heavy Duty fluid at 2 bucks a pint, a good 550 degrees Farenheit dry boiling point.

Goodridge stainless lines

Axxis Ultimate pads, gonna do a track event first to see how everything goes, especially with the pads.

Another good brand brake fluid is Super ATE blue, and they have a yellow version so it makes it easy to know when you fully drained the old fluid, it can also be bought at any BMW, or VW/Audi dealership.
