Brake pads rubbing
 

I have stock capilers and stock discs on my 87 Tii, but have i think bonez pads......they are metalic and seem very thick.

anyone else have problem with them rubbing??

i noticed it when i took my stocker wheels off to put the ones back on the car came with after i had them powdercoated. Ive noticed alot more vibration when i initiate a stop and it is obvious to see when i took the calipers off to paint that they were already putting pressure on the disc in a non brakeing position.

can i adjust my pistons?? what about the two metal plates on the backs of the pads, can i take one out to see if it has clearence then??

u should be able to spin the front wheels freely, without pressure on the pedal, the pads still drag slightly. if it takes some effort to turn the wheels, that caliper may not be releasing properly and needs rebuilding/replacing.

so the pads should make contact.....but not inhibit the wheel from spinning??
