Borbet Type TD
any ideas on where i can get a set here in the US...
they are discontinued... |
Sounds like Tire Rack might carry those...certainly worth the phone call:)
Borbets are notoriously heavy (but very strong) wheels...any particular reason why you like the TDs except for the style (I really don't know what the TDs look like...)? |
the TD's have a really nice deep lip. good luck trying to find them. dclin had a group buy of like 15 sets early last year.

already called prior...hence, this inquiry on the forum. ..they only have the Ts available in 17x8 or 17x9.5 similar to the TDs but without the center cap Dont care about the weight...street use..I need 18x9.. 40oz already inquired with dclin and no luck...discontinued looks like I may have to go UK for this buy .. |
I got dclin's old ones...:D
He *MIGHT* know of someone who has a set though... Here are some pics of them on my car. http://flathat.woodstream.net/RX7/Borbet_Type_TD/ Today I'm sporting the SSR Integrals though... http://flathat.woodstream.net/RX7/SSR_Toyo/ (and no, I don't want to sell the Borbet TD's!) I love them too, if only for show, yes, they are VERY heavy! The Borbet Type T's look WAY different than the TD's. The huge lip on the TD's is what makes the wheel so attractive! K |
Your new SSR Integral A2s look MUCH BETTER!
