Best Rotor for 4-lug FC under $60
I'm buying new rotors for my '87 NA 4-lug FC, and I'm wondering if anybody has any suggestions for an upgrade to the OEM rotor that is under $60 (per rotor).

Rotors have very little to do with brake performance. Just get the cheapest ones you can find and spend the rest of the money elsewhere (like on tires, which will increase your braking ability far more)

Eage is correct, unless you are racing hard you can get away with regular OE style rotors, so put your money into the pads themselves. If you want to upgrade the brakes, you'd be better upgrading to TII Calipers and rotors (see Aaroncakes Project Tina)

The 4 lug system is not that bad,as stock. It stops the car. The 5 lug is a little more flexable allowing the rotors or even the calipers to get changed out.Put Pads in that equation too and you get a little more Upgrade then just what the 4 lug system has/or had to offer. That is pretty well why a lot of Guys opt to go to the 5 lug wheel/4 piston front brake combo. |
