Autoexe coilovers (Kijima-spec)
 

Any views/feedback on the Autoexe coilovers (Kijima-spec)? They are supposed to be designed according to Takao Kijima's specs, they are twin tube, they can only drop the car by 5mm and their spring rate seems to be low, but are designed to provide comfort (so they claim anyway). They seem to be fairly priced at 150.000JPY MSRP, but was also wondering how they compare to other coilovers in the market (Ohlins DFV, Aragosta, K-Sport, etc).

I know they are not common in the US, but perhaps someone has seen them while living in Japan?

Well, I eventually got my hands on one set and was able to test it. The Kijima-Spec look well built and they are quite comfortable. They also provide great handling for their price.
However, in my experience Ohlins DFV outperform the Kijima-Spec, even for Street use. I do not know about track use as I do not track my car, but I would guess the same applies, since the Kijima-Spec is not designed for the track. Ohlins DFV is way more solid suspension, I would say even marginally more comfortable than the Autoexe.
In all, the Kijima-Spec is a very good suspension (definitely better than the Silk Road I had on for some time on my first FD and the likes of D2, Tein etc), and a good product for its cost.
