Anyone running wheels with centerlocks?

So, Im kicking around the idea of buying a set of forgeline wheels. I see they offer them with a centerlock option, where they will make you an adapter for the centerlock "hub", and then the wheels with just attach with a large center nut. I dont necessarily have a need or use for this option, but I just think its cool as hell. Its a pricey option though at like $1600. Just wondering if anyone here had any experience with it, or could offer any advice. Thanks

is there some sort of nut retention with the centerlock? like a pin or whatever to prevent it from backing off? when you only have one lugnut, its pretty important that it doesnt go anywhere.

alos torquing a centerlock is quite a bit harder. probably need something like 300lbf.ft, depending on the size of the nut

Yes, there is a pin that retains the nut once torqued, and I believe youre right and spec is right around 300 fl/lbs. This video from forgeline goes over their process pretty well.:

my 1958 Triumph is actually exactly like the forgeline system, it works really well. the Tr3 is a knock off, so you use a hammer, which is really satisfying.

the self tightening thing does work. the only problem i have had is that the wheel adaptor came off once, my brother took the car, and it does not like him, but the adaptors NEED to be checked periodically.
