Anyone run 17x9 all round?

If you do run 17x9 all around what offset do you use? I am looking to getting some rims with this size but I wasn't sure which offset would be best. Any suggestions or feedback would be greatly appreciated. This setup would be for both street driving and a few HPDs.

I have 17x9 all around with +43 using 255/40/17's. I also use a 5mm spacer in the rear so that's effectively gives a +38 fitment.

^^^^I run the same but with a 27mm offset.

im about to do 17x10 +20 all the way around on my fc i also have a set of 10mm spacers and a set of 12mm, well see if i need/decide to use them or not..

Do you guys run spacers because you want to make the rear look flush? I do not really care if the rear is flush with the fender. Can I just go with any offset if I don't go with spacers?

You really should search. This has been covered so many times that people like me who run that size in +45 are sick of retyping it over and over.

Thank you for posts. I was just looking for something a little more exact in terms of offset. I did do some extensive searches but I mainly read were posts about if this wheel or that wheel will fit. I guess in retrospec my question is no different. I did think it was different because most posts I read are about 18 inch wheels and a staggered setup. Anyway thanks again for your time.

Yeah there are tons of useless threads. Try searching for 17x9 and you might get something more relevant.

Stick to the 45 to 43 offset and it will fit w/o issues. Friend of mine rubbed with 40 offset and 255/40/17 and was disappointed.

If you are of the hella flush crowd, you are on your own. Not my thing.

yeh running 9.5 all round. 245's on the front and 285's on the rear.

really wish I hadn't disabled my power steering, on the streets at very low speed its a prick.

Man, I now realize why it's so hard to answer the question about wheel size and offset. I called today just about to place an order for some SSR SP1's but the guy on the phone talked me out of the 17x9 and said I should go with a 17x8.5 size. Then he said the +35 wouldn't be good and tried to sell me on getting the +43 offset. ARRRGGGHHHH, it's difficult to answer when you can't see the immediate effect these changes have on the car. Is there that big of a different between these offsets?

I run 17x9 +44 255/40/17. I had some rubbing in the front on the track but that's probably because my fenders aren't rolled.

Gracer7-rx7 I'm guessing you have your fenders rolled? Did you fold them over completely or just 45 degrees?
