anyone have pix of BBS RS wheels on an FD?

Im thinking of buying some 17" BBS RS wheels for my white FD but I'd like to get an idea of what they look like on the car. Any pictures would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Why the BBS? A wheel with a similar look and weight would be the ASA AR1 which I just picked up for less than 1/2 the price per wheel as the BBS. By the way, these are 18".
Mark.

Do you happen to know how much those ASA rims weigh in both 18" and 17"?

You might as well say, why the Volk? Or the CCW? Or the Fikse? You don't get nuthin' for free. The ASA are decent wheels and are licensed by BBS, but they aren't BBS quality or as light weight. Not that I don't think that BBS isn't overpriced, because I do, but let's not compare brass to gold here....

Personally, if I were looking at mesh wheels, I would look at the CCW or Volk SE/LE 37Ks....much lighter and forged, for the same or less money as BBS. And they make wheels that fit the FD, BBS makes very few wheels that do.

Those ASA wheels do look very nice though...

Do you have anymore pictures of the car with these wheels? This will show me exactly how my car will look with these wheels. The mesh is different on these wheels but these are also nice. Thanks!

18x8 +35 235/40 for the front

18x9 +45 265/35 for the back

i believe (not sure) that im on the stock suspension but i dont really know cause the car is lowered pretty good..but its funny cause the guy i bought the car from had 19s when i first saw it..these 18s have to fit..i just guesstimated by rolling the wheel next to my stock wheel thats on the car now and the new wheel is def taller, obviously, it looks like it will rub when i turn..

You could have ran 18x9 +45 at all four corners with 255/35s! If there is any way you could return them, I would.

Your car looks lowered to me. Your new wheels will be taller than your stockers, both because they ARE taller dimensionally, and because your stockers have 700 lbs sitting on them!

yeah i could but i rather adjust my suspension according to the wheels i have than to go around it and get something that will fit..

one question, how bad from your experience and from the pic i posted will the front rub? i mean do you think it'll be a bit driveable? maybe so i can drive it to a shop and get some springs or coilovers or something?

+35 is a low offset....You'll most likely be fine in normal driving, you'll just have to be careful entering steep driveways and similar situations.

Think he means he'll get coilovers to compensate for low offset wheels and adjust his ride height accordingly.

yes, thats what i meant :)

but yeah, its not really a big deal, as long as i can actually drive the car..ill prob save a bit and get coilovers or something but i have to wait til the lugnuts get mailed to me cause tirerack forgot to do it :(

then ill fit them on and go around the block, if its really bad, i'll go back to stockers and save for coilovers, if not, ill just keep them on..

ill let you guys know :)

ok update for me

i finally got the wheels on my car!! im soo happy! i thought it was gonna rub but it fits the same way my stock wheels fit..only thing is that the car height sits a bit higher, like 3/4 of an inch but i dont care about that..it sucks cause i woke up early early this morning so i can beat the heat wave and everything was going smooth until the last stock wheel and its last lug nut..it was a BITCH to take off, i knew the owner before me used an air gun to put that one there but somehow i managed to take all other 19 lug nuts off..i spent at least 1 hour total using all the energy i had to take this off with taking breaks in between LOL..i finished just an hour ago lol and i was sweating my ass off still..:(

so what i did is i borrowed my neighbor's long ass extension ratchet, its about 18-20 inches long and i used all my might and i guess its leverage helped out and it popped loose..then i put the last wheel on and i was happy..

one question though, with the 18s i have on now, my steering feels very responsive..almost like i have power power power steering, the steering wheel is very sensitive to turning movements now..is that normal? with my stockers, it feels more planted like i dont even have to hold the steering wheel to stay straight..i guess thats the sacrifice i made with the 18s right?

o well, ill take pics today or tomorrow when i wash my car and ill post it here..

thanks gene

idk, i still have to get used to it, the wheels seem to big for the car IMO..maybe because im used to the small stockers but idk, i feel like i just put 22s on the car..wheels look too damn big..or maybe its the mesh type wheel? idk, maybe some nice OE skirts will do the trick right? ;)
