aggressive wheel/tire sizing question FD

I know a ton of these questions get posted, but I just want to make sure before I spend a boat load of cash. I looked through the whole wheel fitment post and couldn't find a perfect answer to my question.

I have a 93 FD with stance coilovers and rolled fenders front and rear. I want to run at least a 265/35/18, but it would be great to fit a 275/35/18 all around. The wheels I want come in a 18x9.5 at +38, but looking at the pictures of that size it is tucked about 10mm in the rear(guesstamite). The wheels also come in a 18x10 at +30, this is obviously wider but is it too aggressive to fit a 265 or 275? So basically let me know if this will work,

Rolled fenders(no pull) front and rear, 25 inch ride height -1.2 deg of camber.
Front=18x9.5 +38 265/35/18 or 275/35/18(if it will fit)
Rear=18x10 +30 265/35/18 or 275/35/18(if it will fit)

I wont cry if I have to use the 18x9.5 in the rear to get a 265-275 to fit, I just don't want to buy the 18x10 and have it not work. What do you guys think?

Thanks in advance,

Ryan

This is my car with the 265 series in the rear, 235 on the front. 18" wheels. I'm sorry I can't get you exact specs on offset and width. This is just how I got the car and I changed out the wheels back to the stock 17x8.0 and 17x8.5. These wheels are for sale too, I don't want them because they are too big.

they will fit. I run 18x10+24 with 265/35/18 federal 595rsr's which are know to run wide.

Where did you find those tires? I've been looking into them but can't find a well known source.

18x10+30 on a 265 with a roll and negative camber should fit just fine. Just remember that on some tires a 265 is wider than on others. IE I run 305 PS2's and they are not as wide as some of the other 305's available. Tire rack will have the exact specs on width.

I got mine from a friend that occasionally has access to them thru a sponsorship kind of thing, but citytireonline.com is your best bet. They are often back ordered and sell out very quickly when shipments do come in due to the awesome price for how well they grip.

here is a pic I found of a set next to some nt-05's of the same size to show how much wider they can run:

Dang that is a big difference if both of those really are the same section width.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Wow that is a huge difference in tread width, I looked it up and I want the Hankook v12 evo k110 which has a section width of 10.7, same as the federals. The difference is in the tread width, which is 9.1 for the hankooks and 9.7 for the federals, more than 1/2" wider. Thanks for the advice Drift Dreamz.

So you guys think a 265 will fit in the front with no problems at -1.2 camber?
