295/35/18 on 18x10 +38 will they fit stock body

looking to see if 295/35/18 on a 18x10+38 will fit stock body/rolled rear fenders. im not worried about overal Dia. bc i am running a gps speedo. looking for the most traction on a non drag radial tire. i know 295 is a little wide for a 10" wheel but the next size down is in the tires i want(BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW-2) is a 275 and i wanted a little bit more then that. I can change the offset but i really like the lip with the +38. i'll be runing work XD9's

You'll definitely need a good roll but you should be ok. As you said though, 295 is a bit much for a 10" wheel and 295/35r18 is a fairly tall tire for an FD.

my freind has a eastwood roller and already took care of that for me. they are rolled tight to the inder fender, the paint cracked but im not worried because i am re painting it. I have a 275/45/16 toyo TQ on the back now(25.8) and think i can live with the 295/35/18(26.1). I just want as much traction and most drivability for daily use. Thanks for your advise.

First, I haven't had luck running a tire larger diameter than 25" up front as it hits the back of the front fender when I turn the wheel.

Second, when I had 18x10.5 +38 wheels 265/35-18 was all I could fit up front with the front fenders rolled and max negative camber (-2.4). The rear was fine not rolled.

Now I am running 18x11 +45 front and rear with 295/30-18 with the rear fenders now rolled as well as the fronts.

Your 18x10 +38 with 295/35-18 might work in back with a roll and pull as well, but not up front.

^ I had assumed OP was asking about rear only because he mentioned a drag radial tire. But yea, if you are attempting to run that all around not going to work.

I was just asking about the rear. I have 18x9+43 for the front with 245/35/18. This is the first time i have bought nice wheels for one of my cars and just want to get as much input as i can. Thanks again guys

Third, your steering will be vague with a drag radial up front.

Post pics with your sexy wheels when you get it done!

Why would you run a drag radial in an 18" wheel size? wouldn't a 15 or 16" wheel be better?

OP is actually saying he wants the stickiest tire that isn't a drag radial, but your point is valid- sidewall will only help forward traction.

I am assuming (hopefully correctly this time) that the OP wants to look good and go fast (pretty much the point of an FD?)

If you want forward and rear traction, go with a skinnier tire. I have a whole thread on this in another forum. The wider tires are great for handling side to side, but in a 18" wheel, you want a skinnier tire than 295 to elongate the patch of the tire. go with a 255/265 width.

I am basically in the same boat, im about to order XD9's in 18x10 +18 but dont know if it will fit the fronts with just a roll and 245/35/18 tires. I know the back wont be a problem with 265/35.

What you guys think?
