18x9.5 or 18x10 for the front?
Guys, which one would you recommend for the front for an aggressive set-up?
18x9.5 +38 with 235/40 or 255/35 or 18x10 +38 with 255/35 What I mean by aggressive is minor fender rolling ok, fender pull not ok. Would 255/35 rub with 9.5" since it stretches the 255/35 less then the 10"? I'm only asking fronts because I think 18x10 +38 with 265/35 for the rear is pretty much it. There is always 18x9.5 +45 for the front as plan B but it sits a touch more inside the fender for my liking. |
9.5 + 38 with the 255 is probably the better choice.

it would only be 6 mm difference between the 9.5 and 10 on each side.. its really not that much different
but i agree with turbodrx7, 9.5 +38 is a better option |
Thanks guys, I think I'll go with this combo:
18x9.5 +38 (F) 235/40 18x10 +38 (R) 265/35 Also with this combination F & R tyre diameters will be the same. |
^ I like the semi stretched look. My front wheel tire combo with be the same.

im doing the same...18x9 +25 front.. and 18x10.5 +20 rear. fitment is key.

Hi guys, I know its an old topic but a little help wouldnt be refused.
This week I put Rays Volk F Zero Winning 18x10 +20 on my FD. It looks perfect, but of course I need adjustment. Will I have to absolutely roll my fenders or negative camber will be the only requirement ? Thank you! |
^Yes, to both questions.
|
Well, I thought I didnt have to roll my fenders, I am a bit disappointed, but if I dont have the choice, I guess I must add that to my plans.
Thank you Goodfella |
You don't have to roll your fenders, provided that you always drive slowly in a straight line, never turn the wheel or go over transitions/bumps.
