18x10 +38 on FD?

Currently I have 18x9.5 +38 Enkei RPF1 wheels with 285/18/30 Kumhov710's on my FD.

Fenders are rolled, not pulled, and ride height is 25.5 at the fender lip.

No real issues with this combination.

What I would like to do is get a set of the new Goodyear 295/18/30 R Comp autocross tires.

These have the same section width as the V710's, with a slightly wider tread.

The Excel FD fitment sheet says that a 18x10 +45 will fit this combination.

The problem is that 18x10 +45 is nearly impossible to find.

The 10 RPF1 is +38.

Has anyone here used an 18x10 +38 with 285+ tires on and FD?

I would like to get a set of these tires, but putting them on the 9.5 wheels is probably pushing it a bit.

Of course I could get custom wheels, but that's simply too much $$.

im mounting my 18x10 +33 soon. will let you know how that goes. only putting 275/35 tires though they are much cheaper than 285/30

Thanks - If you could get come pics showing wheel clearance that would be great.

I will be mounting 18x10 +35 with either 255 or 265's in next couple days so can post pics also if you wish.

We're talking about 7mm here(give or take).
I think you'll be fine with a good roll.

Yeah, I know it is only 7mm.

But at some point increasing the wheel size will cause some of the 7mm to start banging and rubbing.

I'd prefer to find out if the wheel/tire combo will cause any issues before I spend $2800. :)

Turns out that Forgestar wheels can be had in custom sizes, with weight and construction similar to Enkei RPF1.

Rishie can get these at pretty good price.
Ask him, not me about the price :)

I have 285/30/18 on 18x10 +37 in the rear with rolled fender, no problem at all. You can check out pic of it from link below, it's the VR with SSR SP1.

We're only concerned with the front. But as jkstill mentioned, we have found a wheel that can be had in the ultimate 18x10 +50 fitment without issues. A nice clean 5 spoke. If you want to roll the rear fenders and run 285's with normal alignment I'd run a +35 to +40 in the rear and not rotate.
