SAFC II killing motor

i use my TII[some mods] as a weekend warrior, anyway the problem is
I start car, run for 10 minutes and it cuts out completely a couple of times,
then dies. sometimes it restarts after pulling egi fuse, also, it seems unbelievably hot around fuse box[fuse itself hot] and under hood for that amount of time. Temp. gauge ok reading. I had a SAFC expert set my car, and he said there could be a loose wire to computer. Is this where SAFC is soldered or wired to ecu? anyone have this problem?

The S-AFC should be soldered to the harness right at the ECU connector.

Something is loading way more than normal current.
Whatever it is should also be getting abnormally hot.
Feel around the ECU, FCD, S-AFC and the connecting wires for a hot spot.
Also check the spark coils for excess heat.

I saw a clamp on DC ammeter the other day.
It's like an ampprobe for DC instead of just AC.
It looks like it would simplify troubleshooting shorts.
