Pushing near highest correction setting
Running the turbo n/a seutp, about 7 degrees retarded off base, heres the thing though, i'm pushing just about all the correction i can get out of the AFC at around 6-7K i'm at 44% correction with the n/a ecu, FD fuel pump, and 550CC injectors. I'm gonna have to bump it up to around 50% since i'm hit a 12:1 at around 6-7K, now i really wanna finish the next tune off at 10 PSI but i dont think baseing it off the n/a map will allow that sort of correction. Any ideas on what i can do?

this is crap, i cant even push enough fuel out on 50% correction at 6K-7K, i'm pushing into the 12:1 a/f's in that area, ghey.

12:1 is great, but as you see you're at the limit of the 550's
Other options are a rising rate fuel pressure regulator and/or 720 secondaries. It this a TMIC or FMIC setup? |
FMIC, i shouldnt be at the max of the 550's at 4-5PSI, i'm thinking i might have a drop in fuel pressure. I'm gonna see if it'll make a difference when i run w/o my fuel filter for test run (I dont know how olde it is so it may be due for replacement, it would be a good check though..

NVM the motor blew up

My first guess - low voltage from a weak connection at the fuel pump.

NVM The motor blew up |
like 4psi, so no, blew up upon lauch at the track. I dont even think i was in boost, my timing was 7 degrees retarded from base, and i had a good AFR at the time. So maybe the motor was just weak, had 186K on it. Another thing that might have happened and i'm pretty sure i'm a complete idiot for doing this, but one of our rotary guys had pointed out that i had no plug on the air temp sensor, so me being the idiot i am found and pluged the temp sensor plug into the TII temp sensor on the elbow, i'm thinking i fucked myself right before the run by doing this. It may have thrown my n/a fuel maps way off when i did this. On the way home, i was getting into boost just beating the shit out of my recently blown motor and i was noticing AFR's in the 13.6 range in boost. so i'm thinking that my n/a ecu thrown massive corrections in for its newly found air temperature readings. Eh, its cool though, onto bigger and better projects with the car now.

(It was the 186K miles)
