Interesting SAFC Q's

I just bought a 3rd gen from some guy and the damn thing runs sooooo rich. He told me he did a true twin conversion to it but it really doesnt look like it. The mods on the car are minor and the boost isnt turned up at all(no boost controller). For some reason he has an SAFC tuning it. There is no boost guage(I think he ripped it out) and definately no wideband/narrowband sensor of any kind.
When its warm the car spits flames from the exhaust. It huffs and puffs and runs rich as shit. From some FAQ's on this site that I read the TPS needs adjustment. I am not familiar with the SAFC2 and if it plays with the TPS. He gave me the instruction booklet for it and I am about to start reading it. The car gets about 7mpg right now and its driving me nuts. It hesitates sometimes at 4k and feels almost like a boost/fuel cut and then pulls harder than shit up to the line. I'm going to look at the settings but I dont want to mess with it too much without the right equipment. Am I safe to turn it down a little at idle/low rpms? I will look at the settings and give more info later today. Thanks a lot! :)

If you set all the adjustments to 0%, assuming it's wired in correctly, it won't change anything.

From what you're saying, I'm not sure I'd trust it to be wired in correctly.

You might want to ask this in the 3rd gen forum - most of the people in the SAFC forum are 2nd gen owners.

Thanks sorry, currently it is at -13% at idle or low throttle. I will adjust everything to 0%. I checked the voltage on my TPS and its only off slightly.... .12 volts or so at the most on both wires. The car only has a front mount and turbo back exhaust... other than that its stock. The motor is apparantly a 99 JDM or so I'm told.
