ok, so sometimes i just dont get stuff. on the afc neo (wich works just like other safcs ive seen) i just installed it, and im wondering 2 things.
1. (-) is subtracting fuel correct? well, how do you know how much"15" stands for? 15cc's? 15 what? ive got an rtek 1.7 with 750s. so i need to subtract at least 30cc of fuel per rotor...
2. when making a map, if you have +15 at 5000rpm, and +25 at 5500rpm, does it just automatically make a linear curve? (or whatever you call it) so, maybe 5250rpm would be like +20 just automatically? just wondering. thats what it looks like on the monitor map.

1) if it is like the older SAFC models then the number represents a % that the SAFC is altering the AFM signal for, this doesn't necessarily mean if you take out 10% you are subtracting 10% of fuel, altering fuel settings can only be accurately be done with a wideband O2.

2) correct, between 2 RPM points the SAFC will map linearly to the next point so it is dividing and creating a map for the area in between those 2 points.

Also if the neo runs like the SAFC1-2 and uses Low and High Throttle setting, between the the LOW and HIGH setting it will make its own map to match the High setting or low setting.

Say if your LOW is 30% and High is 70% (S4s you should have LOW at 99 and High 100)
If you have -12 for a correction at 30% throttle say around 2500 rpm and -5 at 2500 at 70% and you step on the gas and get to 50% throttle, it will make a map a map which will step the corection factor up to reach -5 if you keep on pressing the throttle.

Read the manual because it tells you exactly what math it uses to make its own map between the 2 throttle points.

i DID read the manual, but it didnt help too much. plus, like i said above, math really isnt my strongpoint...
oh, and im assuming the low to high throttle point at 99 and 100 is because of the tps being, um, not all that great? like, when you push the pedal to the verge of what the afc calls 100%, the pedal is actually only half way down?

Yeah. If you look at the tps while moving the linkage with your hand, you'll notice that the plunger on the tps is fully extended just about the same time the linkage starts to engage the secondary throttle plates. Just desingned that way.

The series five really isn't all that much different. One of it's plungers works just like the series four and performs the same functions as the series four. The other plunger is used for the electrical omp on the series five and NEEDS to detect the full range of the throttle plates, unlike the narrow range.
