how long will it hold memory?
i have my seven stored and no battery. how long will the safc hold its memory and when will it reset if left hooked up?
I believe its settings are stored in non volitale memory. It should hold indefinatly.
i have a hard time holding its memory. i put in the settings as directed - ign on w/o engine started - set it - turn off car - then turn engine on. i do that and when i shut it off turn on the car again, everything is back to default.

well, i went home from work and tried it again and it worked!!!..til i went to sleep and started it today and it resetted(sp) itself. i checked and rechecked my wiring and everything's on correctly. i dunno what's going on.
thats strange??
i figured it out. when i finished setting it up i was initializing it when i was just supposed to leave it in the etc. menu before cranking the engine. but i now realize i'm burning richer no matter how lean i put it. i checked my o2 sensor and it's not sending a signal. i know w/o the sensor the ecu will make it run rich. so could that be it?
could be, i installed mine almost a week ago and i haven't put the o2 sensor and is rich, and also the smell is like hell it burns my eyes lol.
lol...well the smell isnt that bad (actually kinda like it) but fuel mileage went from 225mi in full tank to 200mi. i'm still trying to figure it out
afiak, it should work forever.
it's never forgotten my settings after winter storage. |
the battery voltage monitor, is that showing the amount of volts from the alt or the battery?
