help with system?
what I am looking for is a basic break down of the system's format *safc-2*
how do the air flow settings adjust the fuel map, and a somewhat detailed explination of the effects of adjusting the "settings" what does changing the "low RPM" and "high RPM" settings effect, and how does adjusting them at each level of RPM climb effect the system as a whole? also, in what manner should the graph be maped ie: always rising, rise then dip... what kind of results would say a high line flowing to low on the map effect the motor? sorry for all the questions. i'm not looking for an answer for all my questions from just one person. just feel free to answer what you can and elaborate as much as posible one the systems structure, and results of "akward" tuning. I'm just trying to understand as much about the system and how it works and how it SHOULD be tuned *aside from a pro doing the work* i just want to be able to understand what he's doing while he's doing it. please only serious responces thanx, Bryan |
err... does anyone here know what i need to do to learn this system?... or is this section of the forum just that useless if you have already been able to install???

Have you tried reading the manual? It should answer at least some of your questions. Other than that the general principle is to run the car through it's revs with a wideband lambda attached to analyze the AFR throughout the rev range. See where you're running rich and lean it out to an acceptable ratio (usually 11-ish), see where you're running lean and add some fuel (same off course).
Hope this helps somewhat |
thanx... that does actually
