which will best fit my application??
stock 88 n/a GTU with: s4 turbo and manifold with spacer 12 psi(soon) right now stock boost fd fuel pump 550's 720's safcII custom FMIC made from TMIC greddy type s BOV new clutch centerforce dual friction innovate wideband custom 2 1/2 DP to 2 1/2 straight pipe(no cat) 3 inch old school HKS hi power catback what i have siiting here waiting to be installed: tII ecu soon to be rtek 1.7 tII boost sensor tII MAF now right now its hhoked to the TPS. im wondering if i should leave it there or hook it to the boost pressure sensor?? when you pick which one please explain why....thanks!! |
someone please help??

I hook into the boost sensor, because that's what's actually determining the engine power output. At a low RPM, 20% throttle opening may be 100% manifold pressure, because there's not much airflow.
Throttle position does not determine power output. Manifold pressure does. The throttle controls manifold pressure. Also, when tuning for boost (to add fuel if needed up high in the boost), you need to know the manifold pressure, not the throttle position. -=Russ=- |
thanks for the explanation and help, i understand what you are saying.
