100% afl?
 

so its happened now three times, i'll be driving down the road, 55 degrees or so, engines warmed up but still cool, and i will see a spike in the airflow, it will jump to 100% and wont go down, this cause the car to hesitate like crazy, backfire, build boost, drink gas, but will not go anywhere quick. i checked the vaccuum lines, the intake, filters, but since i am still new to the turbo rotaries i dont know what gives! i would assume it would have something to do with the maf or boost sensor, or some kind of regulator but am having trouble pinpointing the problem because it doesnt do it enough and goes away after i let the car sit for about 15 minutes. anyone have an idea of what could be going on?

Maybe a loose wire for the signal from the afm to the SAFC then back to the ECU?????

At small opening of the afm, the voltage read on the SAFC will be high. Like 4 plus volts. When the afm is wide open the voltage out is very small, like a half volt. Sooooo I put two and two together and came up with the SAFC reading 100 percent due to an open wire b/t the afm and SAFC or SAFC and the ECU.

Make sense. Did when I wrote it.

This problem was answered in a past post ......but most all the SAFC posts have been deleted off this site. Crummy deal. Senseless.
