Next Gymkhana at Mineral wells is coming up

We just got back from the first Cloudfactory sponsored Gymkhana at Mineral Wells.. It was a blast!!

The first event was a kind of practice event.. It wasnt advertised and only Cloudfactory sponsored drivers attended..
This was mainly to get a good idea of the best course design possible out there..

We used at least 60 percent of the tarmac out there and lap times were around 2 minutes..

The course was extremely fun and everyone had a great time.. it had auto barrel racing, a fast reverse entry box, an extremely tight cornering section, a biiiig drift or grip circle, a super fast winding section followed by an extremly fast 180 box, a giant straight into a 90 degree turn followed immediatly by a stop box, and another auto barrel racing section..

I have never had as much fun driving as I did yesterday, the track was a workout but extremely fun.. This wasnt your typical 20mph around some cones track.. I was 7 grand in third on the back stretch in an rx7.. And there was enough room around the track that we still had a skidpad area and a little drift section to play on when we werent on course..

It worked like formula one qualifying as well.. you could make as many runs as you wanted and the fastest one counted.. so there was never big pressure because you could always just go again..

Anyway, the point of this post isnt to rub it in that we got to play.. its to see how interested everyone here would be in attending the next event.. It should be in around a month.. give or take a couple weeks because the Mineral Wells calendar is pretty full already.. If we can get enough drivers out there then we will be a percentage payout for the top driver.. we might even have a tough luck award as well..

I am very excited about these new events. I have attended and driven events at mineral wells before but I can honestly say that this blew them all away. No insult to those events. This one was just a blast..

We are unsure of what the entry fee will be but probably in the 30-50 dollar area.. just to cover the track insurance of a bigger event.. But this is an all day event.. we will probably be set up at around 9 in the morning and it will go till dark.. you can have as many runs as you want.. and, like I said.. there will be play around areas around the track as long as everyone is responsible.. I drove till I was sore yesterday.. :D

Let us know what you think about it..

Okay Ive got a Date:

JULY 18

Prices will be:

40 to drive all day

5 to get pit access and do ride alongs

0 to watch

There will be a tech inspection of each car before it is allowed to go on the track.

It will include a quick lookover of the car and safety equipment (ie helmet, seat belts, ect.. )
The inspection will also include a J turn. We need to see that your cars suspension is up to the task of keeping you from rolling over so a quick 15 mph j turn will give us a chance to make sure everyone will be safe and have a fun day..

The track will be located at Mineral Wells Airport.. In the back on the old tarmac.. Just google it if you need directions..

If you have any other questions just hit us up here..

Thanks
