If you didn't know ways to help here you go:

Search your local news stations official websites, they are pretty on the ball about things going on in your area to help with the effort. For example in Southern California you can go to www.cbs2.com for infomation of whats going on. For those of whom don't want to search that particular site I'll just give you the direct link of http://cbs2.com/localnews/local_story_244011042.html

If you are out of the country like many people are here you can donate online if you search around there are places where you can donate as little as 5 bucks. Clothes and can goods aren't really accepted at the Red Cross because of the difficulty of organizing everything. But I'm sure there are drives to help with that if thats your wish.

While blood may or may not be immediately needed at this point, a large portion has been used so more will be needed to help maintain the blood bank supplies anyways you can search http://www.redcross.org/. Or just call information they'll tell you where the nearest blood bank is.

I'll be back tommorow or later today if I find more ways or links. I hope people use this thread to do something positive and do the same.
