Any RX7 junkyards in Dallas area?
 

Hello I've been searching threw the threads and couldnt find any information, so i decided to finally join! Anyways i spent all day today going to each junkyard over here in Grand Praire looking to see if anyone has any RX7's......didnt find squat! So i'm having to turn to the forum and see if anyone know's of a junkyard that has RX7's

1987 BTW looking for all the electrical stuff. TIA!!

what electrical parts are you looking for? it would be easier to find parts on here than to pull them at a junk yard.

http://www.revvinsevens.com Not a junkyard, but he buys rx-7s and either restores (FDs) or parts them out (FCs) but has plenty of parts for just about anything and probably your best bet.

lol man where should i start, have sooo many little electrical problems. i'll try and get some listed

the car wouldnt start off by it self, you would have to push start it to get it running, then when it runs it works ok as long as you dont do anything like honk horn or use signals or headlights or anything like that

last night i went to turn on the headlights then the headlights came up and turned on then the motor started popping then loud backfires (just idling) and then killed itself. i tried to turn it on then nothing. it would just turn over.....very slowly
i went to try and turn it on today and cleaned the plugs did all of the little things to make it turn on, it turned over tried to catch alittle then started backfiring and died again.
all of this happened when i turned on the headlights, so i was like hmmm, searched on it and came to the FAQ where it was syaing the soilders are crap on them and to resoilder them all, so i go to open it up and it's already been tampered with. so that's where i started my junk yard quest.

there are alot of little problems with the electrical, the tail lights dont work none of the interior lights work the owner dosnt know where all of this little parts are located (lol) I bought the car hoping to make it work by it's self without all of these problems. but they seem to keep snowballing on me.

yeah, revvinsevens is good. Curtis sold me a good pair of FC doors for cheap, i remember 150 for both doors with the switch. i'd recommend Curtis.

thanks! i'll check them out. I was looking for the headlight switch and am wondering if that's really what i need to be looking for, am i correct?
