Xcessive/Ground Zero LIM

As above been trying to search for them on google to buy one, but coming up with nothing, did a search and the only thing I can find is a thread from two years ago.

Are they still in business and if not what is the alternative to get extra injectors plumbed in?

:score: Nice one Chadwick cant understand why google didnt find it

mono4lamar 03-22-07 01:49 PM

i was going to go with this aswell. yet ernie t did 711rwhp and 566lbs torque out of the stock upper lower and tb. do you HAVE to run their rail with this or can you use the kg parts rail with this? anyone know?

fd rotar tt 03-22-07 02:06 PM

you dont have to run their rails. it comes with pulgs to put into the other injector bungs, if you dont want to use 4 1600's

mono4lamar 03-22-07 05:42 PM

^ so will the kg ports on the rails line up to the ports on the xcessive mani?

Yes, but you have to grind on one of the brackets a little to get it to fit, and its NOT that big of a deal that people make it out to be. I run the Xcesive LIM with both the KG rails, and the other top feed bungs are plugged. Main thing about this manny is the eveness of runner length between front and rear rotor housing=even air distribution

GoodfellaFD3S 03-22-07 07:39 PM

I am using the kg rail with the gz lim. search for my username and 'lim' for more info.

Also, the most important reason for using the manifold isn't to make more power, it's to equalize flow between both rotors, thus equalizing EGTs.

DMoneyRX-7 03-22-07 08:11 PM

wow rich, and I was about as why was this upgrade even necessary. It's just a good thing to have

And too add to the above the manifold also have very thick casting so as to provide room for porting if so desired.
If you don't pick up power with this manifold then your motor does not have the porting to support the additional air flow this manifold is capable of providing.
It's never a bad thing to have more power with less boost! :)

Yes, I dug up that 2yr old thread. Right now the owner is out of the country (been speaking with him through email the last few days) but he will be back in next week. He has the LIM's in stock and he is the only one to ship them out after he returns. Just FYI.

Something I noticed was that I made peak rwhp at 7k rpms vs 6.5k on the old tune. And Peak torque was made anouther 500rpms higher also. Same a/fs, and timing. (We did have to richen it up a bit though to keep it at the same A/F ratio, as I remember.) But i'm running the stock port in my car too. CJ

GoodfellaFD3S 03-22-07 10:28 PM

^^Interesting. When the GZ LIM was installed, I also switched from BNR3s to 500R and from 3 inch exhaust to 4 inch turboback, so I wasn't sure what was responsible for what......but my car really pulls much harder above 6500 rpm then it used to, that's for damn sure :D

radkins 03-23-07 09:00 AM

I've had it on the car for 2 years. I am running a ton of boost on it with a half bridge and a TO4R. I have even EGT's and the car pulls hard as hell.

ErnieT 03-23-07 08:08 PM

Just got mine this week. Sean @ Aspec sent it to me. Gonna have that and 2 more injectors slapped on this week. I need more fuel!

signofinfinity 03-24-07 02:10 AM

fastcarfreak 03-25-07 06:50 PM

can't wait for mine to come. I have the kgparts fuel rail but decided to buy the cjmotorsports setup instead. Like GoodfellaFD3S said, "the kgpart rails will work find with a little grinding" I didn't care to do that, so I just bought the cj kit. I think this is a great add on for any high hp rotary.
