Wrapping manifold back!?

I am running a 3rd gen with a single turbo(Gr67{t66}) stainless manifold, downpipe, and midpipe with titanium exhaust. My question still, after searching, is whether or not I should waste my time wrapping the manifold, and the rest of the exhaust system in order to increase its efficiency somewhat as well as keep engine bay temps down. I have also been contemplating a turbo blanket as well. If anyone could share their experiences, I would greatly appreciate it. thanks.

You should wrap the manifold and the downpipe anything after that is almost useless, unless you want it like 1 DB quiter :P

A heat shield for the hotside of the turbo would also help.

i find the wrap also helps with the sound
less tinny
but yes wrap it

How much does that stuff go for?

50CAD for me for a 2" wide by 50 foot roll
theres tons of stuff to use

is wrapping beneficial if the manifold has already been ceramic coated?

Wouldnt hurt anything, plus it will keep in more heat.

Wrap everything :bigthumb:

i have that same kit and i had to get a heat shield because the turbo started to burn through the heat shield on my heater hose..... im glad i caught it before it actually burned all the way throught the hose.

yes wrap it up ,you might need a couple of packets but its well worth it . i wrapped my exhaust till the drivers seat [ to help keep the heat out of the auto].

Heat shield, or turbo "blanket"? I'm a lil confused. Btw, thanks for all the feedback so far.

I just used a shield that RP had laying around from someone else's kit. Like i said, the hot side of the turbo was directly touching the heater hose thermal wrap. it melted through the wrap in about a week. Blanket is the best solution, but the shield was cheaper.
