What would I need for a GT35r upgrade?
 

1. The GT35r t4 turbine housing, vband
2. T4 manifold
3. External wastegate (recommended size?)
4. Larger injectors (recommended sizes?)
5. Intake (easy)
6. Exhaust modification (I can get that done)
7. Aftermarket fuel pressure regulator? (already have walbro)
8. V-band clamp
9. Oil lines (what sizes will these fittings need to be?)
10. Coolant lines (what sizes will these need to be?)

What else am I missing?

How much boost do you plan on running? And which turbine housing are you planning on? Also what size exhaust?

prolly .82 a/r turbine housing

anyone else know any companies that sell the gt35r? about 15psi right now i have the 2.5" downpipe and pre cat, but I can get exhaust changed out to be 3" or something large and have the wastegate piped into the exhaust

i spoke with atp and they said the t4 flanged turbines flow identical to the t3's. all they did was modify the flange and re-cast it.

Yes, but the turbine a/r available from garret are way too small for a rotary.
Physically it's turbine wheel is smaller than a P trim also, I don't know however if it flows less.

i tried EVERYWHERE to get flow maps of the common turbines, but the garrett gt series are the only ones i know of that are made public.

just do a bb t61 with a p-trim. more power, same spoolup, and a couple hundred bucks less.

The most misinformed thread I've ever read. I have GT35R T4s all the way up to 1.15 hardly too small for a rotary. The only one recast with the same flow as a T3 is the one ATP has .84 undivided. THe 82 divided 1.0 divided 1.06 divided and 1.15 divided are all cast as regular T4's not modified T3's People are seeing high mid 400's to the wheels with the 1.0 and 1.06's

so was atp wrong about their own product when i called them? i'd think they'd be relatively knowledgable on their own stuff.

Re-read what you quoted me as saying and see we said the same thing, (about their .84) my housings are not adapted T3's and they are more than rotary friendly in their A/r sizing. Unless someone thinks 1.0 1.06 and 1.15 are too small.

according to atp, they're all recast t3's and flow the same. but maybe they're wrong about their own stuff. it's happened before.

The 1.0, 1.06 and 1.15 are not recast T3's far from it. If I had a pic of them side by side I could show you, also they aren't ATP housings. The ATP .84 T4 is the only one. Precision also makes T4's in very small .5x and .6x A/r's

normally, i trust the opinion of the company selling their own product, but i'll take your word for it.

What part of it's not their product aren't you seeing?? Their product consist of only the .84 that is it. That is also the one I agreed with both you, and ATP on. It is a recast T3. The others are not their product so they can't give you a answer on those. Look at it this way if ATP wanted a 1.0 divided T4 35R turbine housing today they would need to call me to get it. They only make a .84 undivided that is a recast T3.

but speaking of which. are you selling the turbine housings by themselves yet? i've got a t3 35r i'd like to up the hot side on.

Even the .82 divided T4 housing is rotary friendly as long as you didn't go nuts with your porting. At least that's what I have heard through the grapevine. Care to clarify that for me Sean?
