What kind of fuel pressure gauge for single?
 

I'm a little confused about fuel pressure gauges.

The ones that autometer sell only go up to 16psi? I dont know if thats ok because our fuel systems range from 20-60 psi do they not? Help me out what one do you get?

So what are you guys running? Under the hood gauge or inside the car?
Oh and where did you tap your gauge?

Autometer sells a whole range of gauges. Look on their site and you'll see that they have what you need.

Personally, I'm using the Defi D-Gauge series. I've got an Aeromotive FPR and have the sending unit tapped into that. Don't even think about getting a mechanical gauge.

Some run a gauge local to the FPR...all depends on whether you want to keep an eye on it.

SO you tapped on the ajusted pressure side of the FPR? What PSI does your gauge go up to?

There's a fitting for the gauge. That's what the fitting's for.

15 psi gauges are for carb systems -- they run at low pressure. You need an EFI gauge that goes up to ~100 psi.

You can get a small mechanical gauge and put that inside the engine bay. This will allow you to set the base pressure, but you won't be able to see it while driving. This is what most people run.

You can also get a gauge for inside the car. You shouldn't run fuel into the passenger cabin (more firmly: you absolutely should not run fuel into the cabin), so you have two options. One is to get an electronic gauge and put the sender inside the engine bay. This is what most people do. The other option is to run a mechanical gauge with an isolator (so you don't have to run fuel into the cabin).

Most FPRs have a 1/8NPT port specifically for a fuel pressure gauge (or sender, or line to an isolator).

I checked it out, for an electric gauge its like $200+ and for the manual its like $50. BIG difference.

I checked out a friends car, and his electric gauge plumbed right in the front center of the FPR.

So, I got it figured out now,
