What can I do about the upper raditor hose?
My upper radiator hose is touching the front part of my turbo... has anyone come up w/ a solution for this? I've seen some use metal pipe to re-route it... but I'm stumped. I found a pipe bracket from HD that would work to hold the tube forward but would not be a permanent fix. Please help.

How about metal hose called "Cool Flex?" Jegs and summit carry it. It's flexible and BLING too.

if you go to lowes or home depot look in the electrical section, they have some piping in there that works great for making custom metal hoses.

opps double post :dunce:

any one have any pics? and when you say piping in the electrical section... is it flexable? I'll go look tomorrow. I also have a pipe and hose co. that is near me that seems to have plenty of answers... I'll check w/ them to see what they can do.
Thanks guys, Ryker |
If you look at some of the front mount kits, they come with metal bends. You cut your existing radiator hose and splice in the pipe bends to re-route the hose.
|
and that's really pretty.... :(
|
if you do it right it will look fine

I'm guessing I neeed to get a lip for the pipe huh? Or will it hold w/ just a clamp?
|
you can take some epoxy and build up a lip on the pipes, but you probley wont need too. A clap should hold ok
|
cool... I'll be looking for some bent pipe tomorrow. Thanks!
