RageRace, not ure about the first bit, but as for the H2O that you use, you can use normal tap water, but if you live in an hardware area you will need to remove and clean/de-scale the injector every so often (2-3 months).

If you use de-ironised water, this will need to be done less often.

ZoomZoom, the 1s system is worked on boost alone. I think the 2d will tell you if you have a blocked injector.

That was good reading. I always like the trailblazing mentality. Good work so far. From what I understand to make more power with the water you need to lean it out and advance the timing. otherwise the water will actual take some power away with the same map. I guess if your just wanting a buffer zone for questionable tuning you can run your off water map with water just to be safe. I want it for both, a bit of power increase and a safety net on tuning. I am on my 3rd Motor in 3 months and although I figure its my fault for the last one I want some mods to increase reliablity instead of just performance. I think the Aquamist kit should help me keep this new motor for a while on 17 psi/pump fuel. Where did you get your methanol?

Also I plan to have the pump mounted in the car. " JACK" has his pump behind the drivers seat after his first pump failed due to engine bay temps. I figure I will learn from his mistakes.

Zoom, I plan on having the pump mounted in the engine bay, as I dont like to have to much of a distance between the pump and the injector. If pumps start to fail I will speak with Alan at ERL, as they are about an hour from where I live. Alan is really interested in seeing the results from a rotary powered car, as he knows how well they work on boingers, but not got any really figures on rotary's.

I got my methenol local to where I live, so I have a regular supply.

I will be mapping the engine then adding the water for safety side of things. Plus I think that the amount of cooling that will be supplied by the W.I. will not change the map tht much.

I bought my Methanol from a oil distributor.
It is race grade filtered methanol.
My pump is mounted in my spare tire compartment.
The reason I put it way back there is because electric pumps push better than they draw.
I have leaned my fuel and advanced my timing and have noticed a vast improvement as far as "pull" goes in the upper RPM bands.
No sign of detonation whatsoever.
I'm wondering why more rotary enthusiasts don't do this?

I have a dual pump system from ERL. im trying to deside where to put my pumps. I had planned on mounting them where the battary goes. but thats not soild idea yet.

I have missed something out. From the 13 litre water tank in the trunk of the car, I was using headlamp washer pumps to pre-pressurise the system. So whenever the system was triggered it also started the pre-pump pumps.

I was running two 1s systems, one for spray, one for injection.

If you have a third gen there is a sub frame under the rear of the car where the diff. is mounted , I got a rectangular piece of aluminum about 2ft * 8" ,I then mounted both my fuel and WI pumps on to the aluminum sheet , then mounted it to the subframe via two large nuts/bolts and two holes that are already in the subframe , the water tank holds five litres and is located in the hatch along with my battery so there are no power or suction issues (due to the tank being lower than the pump).I also fitted a level switch with a warning light to warn of low levels in the tank . My system is the 2D with two accumulators and two nozzels.

My friend mounted the pump under the hood and the heat fried it.

then turn it on using one of these digital pressure switch. By the way this switch has two indepent output so you can have two separate injectors come on at different boost points. I got a couple of these from Ebay, Cheap!

surfpac. I looked at the datasheet and I do see 2 programable outputs on that pressure switch.

if it does I want 2 of them.

doh it does have 2 outputs I called about getting a few of them look like they run around 175 each doh!!!!
