Wastegate piping size

I just dropped off my manifold to get the wastegate piping redone(creeping problems) and it has 1.5" pipe so would going to 1.75"pipe be enough or should i go to a 2" pipe?

Should be the size of your wastegate.

the wastegate is a tial 44mm so 44mm converts into 1.73 inch. am i in the ball park?

yes it is 1.75" . I have that Tial wastegate.

I would assume the piping should match the flange. If your still having creeping problems, you should check the way your wastegate is hooked up or you need a bigger wastegate.

I think the tial 44 inlet is 1.875" and outlet is 1.75"

I run 2" on all our TiAL 44's you want 2" if possible.

Curious why you would want to run piping bigger then the flange diameter? Wouldn't it just cause a restriction by means of turbulence?

It's hard to tell from the picture of your new mani, but it looks like your exhaust stream must turn more than 90 deg to enter the wastegate circuit. This will cause restriction and is similar to running smaller tubing and/or a smaller wastegate. If you can correct this, your 44mm might be better able to control boost.

well i went from 1.5 pipe to 1.75 and the hole on the old pipe for the flange was super small and now its alot bigger. it looks more then 90
