Vacuum Line diagram for single?...already searched!!!
 

does anyone have a vacuum diagram that they could send me or tell me exactly what goes where. i couldnt find a complete set of instructions online. a picture would be killer. thanks.

i removed all the solenoids including the fpr and double trottle. i only had the oil injection nozzle connected. bov, map sensor , boost gauge and sx fuel pressure regulator was the only other vacum lines connected to the uim. here a pic of the oil injection nozzle connected

where to the two red vacuum lines go to? i am guessing the map sensor line goes to the same place, where does the line for the fpr go to? do i need to cap any lines off? thanks.---j

the oil injector vacuum lines goes on the intake, similar to the way it was on the priminary turbo. the map sensor line stays in the same place, i had the sx fpr hose on the rear of the uim. acv, egr, dt, and aws were removed and blocked off

did you block off the omp? i have a power fc so i dont know if i am supposed to block it off.---j

no don't do that unless u r going to pre mix. i bought all theblock off plates from k2rd

someone please email me that picture or whatever its not working on my end...i also wont have internet till thursday but i just bought my car saturday and the last owner has everything all messed up....when to marcus's shop and we tried fixing some vacuum leaks and suddenly it overboosted from .79 bar(i had it set to low boost to daily drive) to 1.3 bar by just fixing some vacuum lines...so alot of tuning help is needed...i live in houston and am home from ~6pm and go to bed at midnight weeknights and am available 24/7 weekends...sooo PLEASE if you can help(especially with the vacuum lines) please call me 713-705-3261

I hate to be like this but do you guys have a shop manual and an hour to study it?

Once you take the plunge to do this to the car it is helpful to have the manual, study up, and then post what you are doing and ask folks to confirm what you have done is right. This helps folks on the forum give better advice.

Of course I have a shop manual, but I saw that someone else has already had complied an image of the hoses already, I figured since it has been done it wouldn't be too much to ask to see it.
I was planning on doing it myself, buy why reinvent the wheel?
It isn't a big deal, if people don't want to share, no problem.

I need a little help here as well, and someone has my manual at the moment:

What is the purpose/need for the line that runs between a nipple on the top of the Y-pipe and a nipple on the front of the LIM? Can this LIM nipple be capped?

guys i did not post a diagram before, i removed all the hoses you see above. now follow me. the map sensor hose stays in the same location. i'm using an sx fuel pressure regulator, the vacuum hose of the sx fpr connects to the rear uim, i used a T to connect the two oil nozzles together, and routed that vacuum hose to the air filter, where i had a fitting. the only other hose is for the boost gauge and boost controller, hope this helps. here is the pic i posted beforehttp://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/3bfdd...7OER.AIdBWW5vF

In that diagram, it is the uncolored line which runs from the tip of the Y pipe to the LIM, just in front of the two teal vacuum lines for the oil injectors.


I've since looked in a manual and still can't figure out what it's for. I suspect is is a boost signal to the oil injectors but that's just a guess.

Anyone Know? It's standing in the way of a complete GT 35/40 install.

Has anybody actually figured out the answer to Adax's last question. I too have been unable to find out what the purpose of the white vacuum line in the diagram is. It is connected to the lower intake manifold and the discharge side of the turbo. It makes no sense. None the less it must have a reason. It definetly pulls vacuum. Should it be capped or reconnected in a similar fashion as stock.

Cap it. I never did really understand that one... Seems like it would give the LIM pressure under boost... But for what? Maybe it just balances air or some shit... I dunno... Everyone I know caps it off.. :)

I capped mine. I did an exhaustive search on pics of single turbo engines and it has been capped on most that I could see. I have never had my lower manifold off to see exactly where it goes but it seems it can only go to one of the intake ports so it would not be needed if that were the case.

What do you guys use to "cap" things off?

For that one I just used a piece of waterhose with a bolt and rtv in it... I think that's the only vac line I have capped. The couple on the front of the LIM I just looped a small piece of hose to them.. :)

How primitive, yet functional. :D

Yeah... Maybe even slightly ghetto.. But it works! Good thing it's in a "no-see" spot! :D
