Urgent Help Please: Is this the "GT35R" model most streetable for FD?
Hi guys. Please give me urgent help~
First, I will admit I really know very little about turbos. I know that GT35R is a good single-turbo for FD and my friend happens to have 1 for sale. I need to give him a reply asap and I want to know whether this is the most streetable GT35R - because I think there are a number of models for the GT35 series. Here is the info the this turbo: -Garrett GT35R, -It said A/R .70 on the turbo and -My friend said the A/R on the hot side is 1.32 Hope to hear from you guys asap. Thanks so much! |
1.32 A/R hotside is pretty big...
For 'streetable' 13B setups most people run .82 A/R or 1.06 A/R, or something inbetween. |

Most streetable? No. I would verify it is a 35R with 1.32 first as that would also be a very uncommon size/combination.

The GT37 (non-R) has a 1.34 option. |
Not that I am aware of, Garrett overseas does have some odd sizes though that we do not have here. However a 1.32 T3 would make little to no sense. Even a 1.32 T4 on that size turbo would. Might as well just step up to a larger turbine.

Thank you, thank you.
I won't bother buying it then. I will rather just get the right thing at one go. So the quickest spooling / most streetable GT35R will be 0.70AR with 0.82AR? Thanks guys. Eric. |
35R chart here :) ......
Response: T3 .82 > divided T4 .84 > T4 "inlet" .82 Power: Divided T4 1.06 > Divided T4 1.0 > T3 1.06 There are some over lapping apps there. Examples, The .84 divided T4 has the ability to respond as good and better as the T4 "inlet" .82, but it will also make more power. Or the T4 1.0 will respond better than the 1.06 T3 but it will also make better power and not drop off up top. Hope that helps. |
What is the difference between "divided" and "power divided"?
CAn you make a power divided T4 1.0? Where would it be on your chart? |
Edited for your reading pleasure ;)
