TO4S and Std Ports

Wanting to know what sort of power is obtainable from the TO4S on std FD ports and at what boost pressure and exh housing size.

Please don't rant on about, fueling, exh etc... or 'go search' as I've been looking for ages! :)

From my page at http://www.catenet.net/dyno.php

Shawn made about 320 rwhp with a stock port at 13 PSI. I am not 100% sure of the exhaust housing, but I think it was 1.00.

Just as another datapoint, my car makes a little over 400 rwhp at 15 PSI with a street port (T04S with 1.00 housing).

Now why would we do that?

:D

I made 434rwhp on a large street port.

333 on stock motor... 425 w/ porting

So we're agreed on around the 320hp mark?

Out of interest, what does a std FD read on the dyno in the US?

we just installed one on a friends car and it is pretty damn stout at 12lbs. i feel more than 320. more like 350.

A stock FD in good mechanical condition normaly would do between 210 to 220 rwhp on a Dynojet Dyno.

Hey wargasm is that exhaust housing a divided or undivided? just wondering whether i should go with a 1.00 or a 1.15 divided for stock ports.

So I'd be safe in saying that US Dynos read slightly higher than NZ/AU/UK dynos at the wheels?

Fox,

It's divided....

Why only 320 on a T04S? I made 340 on sotck twins with stock ports at 12psi.

I have that setup on mine and at 12lbs with stock ports it f#cking hauls ass. I beat a 2001 cobra mustang with an aftermarket supercharger in it at 12lbs. My mechanic says it feels like 350 to the wheels (and I trust his knowledge on rotarys). I have yet to dyno it, just bought my boost controller and plan on upping the boost to 16, then to 20 (hee hee) on race gas. I will post my results. Pray to the rotary gods for me.-B

Just to help you out, i made 371rwhp with 12.5x 18's in the rear @16psi with my TO4S Stock Reman motor.
Each additional psi, we saw about 10-11rwhp increase.
Hope that helps.
Ralph
