when you say .84 you mean a/r correct? would a 1.0 a/r spool faster?

from what i understand the .84 a/r would spool faster than the 1.0 a/r. i'm just curious if the .84 a/r would be too small and cause excessive backpressure and heat.

smaller a/r should just shift the powerband down. i would rather take under the curve power over top end power. for the modest (if 400hp is modest) i'm after i doubt the falling off effect would really come into play with the smaller turbo.
